Supporting more aware and connected relationships, deepening understanding of shared purpose, process and dynamics, to bring greater effectiveness within your team and value to your work and beyond.

Unlock the potential of your team to be effective and productive together

Team Coaching for Team Growth

In Team Coaching I work with the team as one unit on how you work together to build team success so collectively you work to your greatest potential. It is about building team capacity to co-create more value with and for all the team and your stakeholders.

My focus is on team growth and development that contributes to effective, productive and cohesive teams, including:

  • team purpose

  • teams structures and processes (team scope, shared goals, team membership, meeting cadence, norms and team charter).

  • relationships and the connections between people

  • role responsibility

  • leadership

  • organisational and team culture

Team coaching isn’t team building, group coaching or team training or facilitation, although there will likely be elements of each of these that support the team coaching process.  How I work with the team will depend on what the team wants from the engagement.

Team Coaching is working with real issues co-creating more effective ways of working together. When teams notice what they are doing when they are doing it,  they can begin to shift behaviours and patterns to more productive ways of working.

When you think coaching or team coaching you may think sports performance. Yet in the last few decades,  the profession of coaching has been widely accepted into many other fields – business, education, and life in general. Although there can be some commonalities between team coaching and sports coaching they are not the same. There is one fundamental difference - sports coaches are part of the team and lead the agenda of the team; team coaches work with the agenda of their client and intervene  so the team can  be more productive together.

Outcomes of Team Coaching

In conversation with you, the outcomes you desire from the engagement will be co-designed with the team and our work may integrate a number of different modalities—including consultation, facilitation, training, team coaching, and one-on-one coaching.

What will be different is that the coaching approach will empower and enable the team to coach itself releasing the need for continued engagement of external expertise. This approach aims to lead you to have the desired outcomes for your project, your team and all the people involved.

Focus on Teams

For many teams, performance lags behind their potential. A group of strong individuals is no guarantee that the team as a whole will be collectively strong.

All too often, groups of people working together are actually less productive, efficient, and effective than those same individuals would be working separately.

All too often individual and team wellbeing and outcomes take a back seat to the outcomes of a project

Turning things around requires transformative change which comes with focussed intention and effort from all team members.

Imagine your team is clear on its purpose, proactive and productive and effective, having more productive meetings and decision making in and between meetings. Imagine your team  able to harness and enhance the strengths, talents and effectiveness within the team. To stop struggling with dysfunction, to move beyond firefighting and into a proactive, purposeful space.

Whether you have a new team, an existing team or a reconfigured team, the team environment  will benefit from having team success factors playing out.

Unlock the potential of your team to be effective, productive together.
